Robertsfors has a diverse range of interesting cultural and historical environments. Trade, shipping, war and industrial eras have left their mark. The Ratan Culture Centre has exhibitions on post-glacial rebound, the port era and the events of the 1809 war. The Robertsfors Ironworks Museum shows the growth of industrialism from 1758 to the mid-1900s and how the small farming village of Edfastmark became Robertsfors Ironworks. Ånäset is home to Ostens Lager, where the emperor of cheeses, Västerbotten, is matured before finding its way to supermarket shelves. Stenfors Gård sells farm produce, antiques and second-hand goods. The medieval church in Bygdeå is also not to be missed.
Sport fishers can enjoy the flowing waters of the Rickleå, freshwater lakes or a fishing trip along the long coastal stretch. Golfers can take the chance to play the 18-hole course inspired by its Scottish counterparts while freshwater lakes and coastal bathing spots with beautiful sandy beaches are ideal for families with children. In the winter the twelve ski slopes at Bygdsiljumsbacken attract many visitors.
