Saxnäs

Saxnäs is beautifully situated, surrounded by water, forests and mountains. From here you have easy access to nature, where you can enjoy activities such as hiking, fishing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling.

Saxnäs and its surrounds also have an impressive cultural offering. You can visit Ricklundgården, an artists' studio with a past that encompasses the history of European architecture and a wonderful love story involving the two former owners of the studio.

A stone's throw from Saxnäs is Marsliden, with a small cottage known as "Pålssons stuga" made famous by Swedish author Bernhard Nordh in his book "I Marsfjällets skugga" (In the Shadow of Mars Mountain) while Fatmomakke is home to a church town from the 1800s that continues to thrive.
