At Svansele Wilderness Centre you can participate in activities in beautiful natural surroundings. Cycle on marked paths, go dog sledding, drive a quad bike or snowmobile and enjoy hearty wilderness food. You can also visit a unique wilderness exhibition, with hundreds of stuffed animals in their natural environments.

Those interested in culture can soon satisfy their longing as the area is home to many authors, artists and artisans. The Norsjö local heritage area and Dahlbergsgården in Bastutjärn are certainly worth visiting. The Norsjö local heritage area is great for roaming around and gathers Sweden's skiing history at the ski museum while the hunting museum shows hunting's key role in the area. Visitors to Raggsjöliden can experience the literary landscape of famous Swedish author Torgny Lindgren and walk in his footsteps.
